I Had This Dream Once
I Was Walking On A Bridge
But There Were No Cars
Just Hundreds Of People
As I Walked All Their Faces Melted
As If Acid Was Being Poured On Their Flesh
They Just Kept Walking
Like They Didn't Even Notice
I Tried To Help Them
But They Just Shrugged Me Off
As If I Was Nuts
I Saw This Black Cat
It's Fur Was Devoured
It's Pink Skin Was Peeling And Cracking
Then It Started To Bleed
I Knelt To The Ground And Held The Cat
It's Body And Skin Ran Through My Fingers
And Onto The Ground
Till All That Was Left Was The Bones
I Sat Devastated As They Turned To Dust
And Blew Away With The Wind
I Wondered Why I was The Only One Alive
I Felt Such Guilt
I Was So Useless
I Got Up And Fought Through All The Slimy Grotesque
Shells Of Corpses
To Get To The Edge Of The Bridge
I was Scared Shitless
And I Didn't Know What The Hell To Do
So I Jumped
I Leapt Out Into The Air
I Landed On A Rock And Broke My Back
I Opened My Eyes
Felt Blood Rushing From My Lungs
Tasted It In My Mouth
I Laid There Struggling To Die
And I Couldn't
Death Wasn't Comin
I Slowly Picked Up My Mangled Broken Up Body
And I Limp Away
Hurt But Alive

Aussie six-piece showcases a buoyant co-mingling of jazz-funk grooves, snappy post-punk riffs, and krautrock motoriks. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 25, 2023
